Great quality, without wool
I’m allergic to wool, and I’ve had a hard time finding this style hat in a good-quality fabric with zero wool. Finally, this is it, and it’s a great value. Mid-weight, perfect for chilly days. It fits my average-size head without the adjustment drawstring, so the fit on a larger head might be a little snug.

The top part of the hat is not that big and full or tall. It’s actually more narrow than the visor! The string is missing and it’s a wrinkled mess. Returned

This Women Winter Beret Hat Classic Newsboy Caps Retro Fashion French Hat in Navy Blue color is absolutely gorgeous. It is thick, of good fabric quality, sits beautifully on the head, flatters the face, and is a classy fashion accessory. It has an inner lining of a shiny fabric, and it has two small pull-strings in the back of the inside of the hat to adjust size. This is the positive aspect of the hat.Now the epic downside:The two little strings will have to be tied into a very (!!) tiny bow to make this work because the strings are that short. For a head size of around 22 inch this hat is a bit large but the strings swill give the option to wear the hat until the flimsy strings will fringe out and then there is no more adjusting!! Yet, not for long because the strings have unfinished edges, meaning they will soon frizzle out, and the strings are so thin and narrow that it will raise my blood pressure every time I will have to work with it, and every single time I will want to wear the hat!!! I am very unhappy with the quality of the strings: made of a shiny fabric, very thin, plus very narrow, toy size, and it will take very delicate fingers to tie the strings every time the hat will be worn! What a hassle! This could have been avoided with something elastic, instead. Because of the flimsy, very narrow pull-string, which could fringe out with a couple of uses and then become useless, leaving me with a hat slightly too big and unable to wear I will deduct three stars because it will be a pain in the rear to handle the hat in this way every time I want to wear it, and also because it will be an issue how to replace the pull-string once it will fringe out and become useless fairly quickly, because of its flimsy quality. It amazes me how the makers of this gorgeous, quality hat messed up so epically, by installing very flimsy, too thin, and too short, AND unfinished pull-strings to save a few pennies, hereby rendering the hat nearly useless! Very sad. This mistake made the hat less than half worth of what it is because, as I have said, I will not be able to replace the pull-string once it fringes because I will have to open the sewing stitches on the hat!What an epic failure!!! The quality and look of the hat get a five star from me, but the strings, which render the hat useless once fringed out, ruined everything. It hurts me t give a two star to such a beautiful hat, but form over function is no way to design a hat!
