I won’t spend more than $10-$15 for mascara, so mascaras in that price range are the comparison I used for this product. At the current price of $12.99 ($11.04 with coupon) for 0.25 ounces (according to Rufus), the cost of this mascara is approximately in my usual range. What I look for: a mascara that is a true black color and genuinely waterproof. Although I do use disposable eyelash brushes to separate out my lashes after putting on mascara, I still want mascara that doesn’t go on clumpy and will last for a long time, preferably mascara that keeps my freshly curled lashes curly. This mascara met my needs quite well and certainly as well as the 6 or 7 other mascaras I’ve tried in this price range over the past three years. I had to go back to the website to figure out the “two-brush” procedure because I initially thought that this meant there was a brush on either end of the wand, but the pictures on the seller’s web page made it clear that it was the two sides of the same end of the want. I then tried it out using the short brush first, followed by the long brush. The mascara did flake a bit after two hours but still looked good and was the most waterproof mascara I’ve tried yet. Although it’s also harder to remove than any others I’ve worn, I view that as an advantage, since many of the other supposedly waterproof mascaras I’ve tried are completely worn off by the end of the day. Since I am the grandchild of impoverished and hence very frugal farmers, in six decades I haven’t bought makeup remover, even to get rid of waterproof mascara. Instead, I just use…wait for it…baby oil. It’s always worked great, plus consistent lifetime application of oil around my eyes may be the reason I don’t have as many wrinkles in that area. I apply the baby oil to my eyelashes using ultra-soft tissues, let it sit for a minute, rub gently, re-apply if necessary, wash my face with gentle soap, rub my eyes one last time with a tissue and voila, mascara gone! This procedure worked with this mascara as well, even though it took a bit more baby oil. So my only reason for taking off one star is that while the mascara worked well and the two-brush method is clever and innovative, I didn’t feel like the end result was that different from what I’ve gotten with the other mascaras I’ve tried. Still, that’s a pretty good end result, so overall, I think this is a fine product for this price range.

Mascara isn’t the best but good for backups
This waterproof mascara is just okay. It definitely holds up against water and doesn’t smudge, which is a big plus, but it takes some effort to remove at the end of the day. The formula adds a bit of length, but not as much volume as I hoped for.

This is a fairly basic mascara. It is smudge-proof and waterproof, as promised. One thing I did not care for was how small the spoolie is. It makes it difficult to fully coat the lashes or add any fullness. It doesn’t offer the volume I’d like, so I’ll save this for my light makeup days. I definitely wouldn’t rely on this for an evening out.
