Great comfortable jeans
I’m 5’9 and 178 pounds. I purchased a size 10 regular. The fit is great and the length is perfect and they are super comfortable. The fabric is sturdy but not heavy. The best part about these jeans is THEY DON’T SLIDE DOWN. I have bought so many different brands of jeans and they all start to slide down during the day, these stay comfortably in place. I don’t think they do a lot to flatten my tummy, but I don’t get muffin top with these.

Darlings, no one likes muffin tops or rolldown jeans that slouch their waistband down your stomach. Not all of us have flat physiques on par with Rihanna or many a Hollywood or Olympic star, much as we might like. Covid doesn’t translate into time to workout for those of us practicing our sourdough starters, stuck inside from working out, or welded to our desks as essential workers on a salary. So, that much said, these are the most forgiving of jeans, and rejoice, because they aren’t stinting for tall ladies, curvy ladies, or ladies who like colour in their pants.I’ve never heard of Democracy Jeans before, and frankly the wanderings through Amazon Wardrobe brought me here out of chance. Having a bootcut jean long enough for my 35″ inseam is difficult, let alone a dark wash AND one without an obnoxious low rise. The waist-to-hip ratio I have is also difficult, since jeans that fit the widest part of me rarely fit the narrowest point without that irritating slip-down. Enter the Absolution; I don’t know who designed them but they had my proportions and issues in mind. For one, they’re stretchy, which is appreciated when weight fluctuates (especially at certain times of the month). The gossamer length of the front panels holds you in without obviously feeling like maternity wear or something, and the smooth lines fit beautifully for a mid-rise jean that stays where it ought to be. The waistband lies below the belly button and stays smoothly fitted no matter where you prance.And the length. Hello length. I can actually wear a jean at a proper length. If you’re short, you may want to get the sample pair from Wardrobe because there could be a need for hemming. For once, I feel like the jean is made for height. I love how the leg remains fitted but not stovepipe or ultra skinny through the thigh, sweeping in a flattering arc out from the knee in a small bootcut that can accommodate hiking boots or equestrian boots with equal ease. I’ve tested both just to be sure. They’re not a fully done flare, but the definition is there.Colours vary; I chose indigo (twice, actually), because the dark, rich ultramarine pops without getting anywhere near black. These jeans have zero whiskering, fades, ombre, or tears, and other such nonsense that interrupts the rich, lavish colour I want. Dark trouser jeans are acceptable at the office, ragged acid wash rejects from 1981 most definitely aren’t, but I can get away with these and feel professional and stylish. Any additions are modest, retreating to a deep brass finish in the small pocket studs. I don’t like a lot of bling on my jeans, and these provide the minimal necessary.I haven’t found a reason to complain. They are thinner; if you want to wear a heavy-weight jean on a cold day, slap a thermal layer or a pair of leggings under them for extra care. However, in all other ways, they hit the bar for me.

Great, comfy jeans!
These jeans are fantastic. A friend recommended them and I’m so glad I listened. They fit perfectly, are super comfy, and the indigo color looks great with everything. The “itty bitty boot” style is cute without being too flashy.I’ve worn them all day with zero discomfort and they hold up well after washing. Definitely recommending these to anyone looking for jeans that feel as good as they look.

Great jeans at a fair price
These jeans are great! Nice slim fit which is perfect for work. They feel great (stretchy and soft). They did have a few loose threads which hopefully don’t continue to pull. Time will tell. Out of the box, they do have a chemical smell. Not ideal, but 2 washes and it’s pretty much gone.This is my 3rd and 4th pair of these. The other 2 pairs are a couple years old and we’re fading, so I can no longer wear them for work. For other functions, they are still fine to wear, so they have held up well. And the pricing is reasonable for the quality and fit.Will definitely buy again! Please don’t change these, unless its to lessen the chemical smell!Ordered a size 2 which is the perfect length and fit. Typically wear a size 4 in other jeans.

In love with these jeans!!! These are the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned! They are stretchy but form fitting and the waist has elastic built into it, allowing for give in the waist that doesn’t bind. I’m 5’6″ and 150 lbs.

Poor quality denim is easily damaged
These jeans fit great and are comfortable but the denim is not durable at all! My upper thighs touch enough for there to be friction as I walk and within a couple of months of purchase, wearing them 2-3 times a week, the fabric was starting to pill. I started to wear them less often to delay the inevitable but, 7 months in, they have holes. I have other jeans that I bought at the same time, also worn with the same frequency and they are holding up MUCH better with hardly any sign of wear. I’d expect better quality for this price point, and will not buy them again.
